SPECIFICATIONS
Model 8740, pre-engineered and self-contained emergency overhead tank shower is designed for indoor and non-extreme outdoor climate installations. ANSI/ISEA Z358.1- 2014 and EN 15154 compliant design as a standalone shower at 60-100°F (16-38°C) ambient temperature. ANSI compliant, 20 gpm shower provides a consistent fl ow throughout the 15-minute drenching by using a Mariotte Siphon, eliminating the reduced fl ow toward the end of the rinsing process. Modular six-piece galvanized frame is Professional Engineer (PE) certifi ed to 2012 International Building Code (IBC), and is easily assembled and disassembled for fl exible placement options. The 423-gallon (1600 L) tank allows for more than the required 15-minute shower, and is fi tted with an overfl ow connection to prevent overfi lling. Fiberglass high-visibility yellow tank is made with a chemical-resistant, water-proof coating and protected with UV inhibitors. Plumbing is 1-1/4” galvanized pipe with bronze valves. Heating and cooling systems and tank insulation are available as an option for 32-120°F (0-48°C) ambient temperatures. Incorporating the specially engineered AXION® MSR Lo-Flow orifi ces, the showerhead provides an improved uniform body coverage for superior decontamination. Compact unit height allows for installations in locations with limited space.
